Early in his career, Gérard won a commission from the French government to organize the arts at the Bujumbura Cultural Center in Burundi, Central Africa. While there, he held his first photo exhibition, which later traveled to Rwanda and Zaïre. Upon his return to Paris in 1986, Gérard launched his design and marketing firm. His skills in illustration and photography combined with his graphic art experience to create a highly successful studio and attract a prestigious clientele.

Gérard has designed for numerous companies and enterprises from around the world. His advanced technical skills in the areas of illustration, painting and photography ensure clients obtain singularly original results each time. His creative work has been seen in numerous advertising campaigns and includes the design of complete graphic alphabets, billboards, logos, out of home advertising, posters, and print collaterals for a wide range of clients such as Airbus, L’Oréal, the Paris Opéra, Ralph Lauren, and Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands.

Gérard worked with some of the most prestigious magazines and newspapers worldwide, including Vogue, Le Book and Ocean Drive Magazine. His work has graced the cover of CDs (CBS, Sony) and record albums for a number of recording stars such as Murray Head, Nicole Henry, Carole Serrat, Laurent Stopnicki, and The Specialists.

Gérard’s work as a fine artist includes photos, drawings and paintings that have been exhibited in France, several African countries, the Caribbean and the United States. His work has been published in prestigious magazines, including Estilos De Vida, Collector, Traits and Vis A Vis. Gérard holds a degree in art and graphic design from the University of Paris I, the Sorbonne, and has extensive expertise in painting, sculpture and photography. A native of France, he now lives in Miami with his wife and business partner Cathy Vachez.
